“My trip to the Holy Land or "The Home Land" was absolutely life changing. I am very thankful for my experiences there. I was blessed with my trip to Israel and thank OTG Church Trips and their efforts to make it happen. The trip from was seamless beginning to end. They helped us from the beginning with our trip on the train, to the plane, to the tour, to the hotels, and back home. The schedule was one packed with history and moving experiences that made me feel that I was walking in the history of the Bible. At every stop we opened God's Word and read from the passage that mentioned the location where we were standing. As I had told my wife before I left--"I am really hoping that my trip makes scripture come alive to me." This really happened. From the emotional experience of riding a boat across the Sea of Galilee to sitting at the Mount of Beatitudes to walking the streets of Jerusalem, to floating on the Dead Sea, the trip was incredible. Come and see, walk the land, be in the place that the whole world talks about. While we were there a great deal going on militarily, but my experience there was one of great peace. I never felt anything other than safety. There is so much that happens here in the states, but no one thinks that they should stop coming to the US. The media has over blown the skirmishes in Israel to make the Israeli government out to be "the bad guys" and make people in the US believe that Israel is not safe. If not for this opportunity, I too would have thought the same thing and would not have gone. I now know that this is all overblown. I am so thankful that I had the opportunity to go on. These meaningful experiences will remain with me for the rest of my life. I look forward to returning to Israel to share my new found love for the land of my Father—Israel. We pray for the people of Israel; we ask God to bless them, but now I know that the best way we can bless them is to be on the ground. Come to Israel and see; it will change your life.”
